Honkai Star Rail 2.4: New Banner Leak May Be The Most Exciting Part Of The Whole Update (2024)

A new leak about a potential banner rerun in Honkai: Star Rail 2.4 has been shared and the information provided seems extremely enticing if it is true. Version 2.4, however, is still a few weeks away, as the popular turn-based RPG by HoYoverse has just started Version 2.3. Nevertheless, the developer has already confirmed three new characters for the next patch, due to arrive in around six weeks, which are March 7th’s new form, Yunli, and Jiaoqiu in Honkai: Star Rail 2.4. Now, with the patch’s beta tests occurring a lot of information is arising.

In addition to the new characters, one 5-star rerun has been mentioned. According to information obtained by the leaker known as Block, which was then shared in a post tagged as “Questionable” on Reddit, Huohuo will rerun in Version 2.4 banners. The last time Huohuo appeared in banners was back in Version 1.5 when she was initially released. Since then, she has not been featured in any rerun banners, despite requests from the community, as Huohuo is considered the best healer character in Honkai: Star Rail.

The rumors of a Huohuo rerun in Version 2.4 are extremely positive and not only because the character is strong. There is a fairly low number of very good healers in the game and, in essence, Huohuo and Luocha do all the heavy lifting when it comes to HP restoration. If players have only one of them, they may struggle when running certain activities that rely on two team comps, such as Memory of Chaos or Apocalyptic Shadow. Of course, some of the most popular options for damage mitigation are shielders in Honkai: Star Rail.

However, healers are extremely valuable, and good ones are indispensable, especially in endgame content that tends to push players to their limits. The alleged Huohuo rerun in Version 2.4 banners is a rare opportunity that may be presented to players, especially as the game’s roster increases. As more playable characters are introduced, chances of reruns become slimmer and some units may take longer to appear in banners once again. If players feel like they are well-sustained by their current DPS options, they should consider pulling for Huohuo in Honkai: Star Rail.

The 5-star character uses Wind in combat and follows the Path of the Abundance. What makes Huohuo so valuable in comparison to other healers is that not only does she match the healing the strongest ones provide but she also dispells debuffs (which not all healers do), restores HP adjacent to her target and regenerates Energy for allies via her Ultimate. On top of that, Huohuo’s Ultimate also grants a massive ATK bonus to allies, serving as an additional buffer for the party, which is extremely strong in hypercarry team comps.

Even if players are more accustomed to shielders like Fu Xuan and Aventurine, Huohuo is recommended as she can restore HP when hits get tough, whereas shielders usually cannot. Of course, Huohuo’s rumored rerun could be changed, so it is best to consider the leak with some caution. Nevertheless, players should have Huohuo on their radar whenever she is featured in a rerun banner, as this can change how they tackle endgame challenges in Honkai: Star Rail.
